Over Head 2.1 Cu.Ft. Microwave Oven Purchased 4/12/2024.MFG date: Jan. 2022.Purchased 4/12/24. It works and cooks just fine. On 10/24/2024 the interior cooking area light went out. It can only be replaced by a LG Approved Service Technician. Now under warranty As of 11/4/24 no LG Service Rep has contacted me. I have called in 7 times since 10/24/24. Today I was told that an unnamed service companyis supposed to call me on or before 11/13/24. I have spoken with 3 well respected Appliance Repair Companies in Columbia SC. They all say they will not do Warranty Work for LG. No reasons given.

Pretty Darn Good Microwave

I bought this a few weeks ago and so far its pretty good. We had our old microwave for 11 years so this is definitely an upgrade. A minor complaint is that it is slightly less powerful than old one so it cooks a tad slower and were learning what adjustments we need to make. Also the defrost cycle is a bit different and again we are learning how to adjust. Also some difficultysetting up LG ThinQ but we also had this problem with our LG Refrigerator. Not a big deal but it is a feature that is so far not usable. Really nice feature is the pull-out vent that allows extra coverage for stove top venting needs and works pretty well. Overall this is a pretty darn good microwave and another win for LG

Missing advertised 24h format

Despite what the specifications mention on this very website the time cannot be displayed in 24h format. Actually none of LGs Over-The-Range microwave can display the time in 24h format which is mind boggling in 2024 for any device that can display a clock especially one for which it is a passive function and that can connect to the internet and sync with a smartphone. Apart from that. Its a good microwave I specifically bought it for the extend-a-vent feature as I cook a lot and like it so far. The sync with the range to automatically turn the light and vent on and off is useful too. Will update the rating when a firmware update is pushed to this unit to display the time in 24h format

Bought and installed myself. Im not convinced the installation instructions and template were accurate because I had to remove the mounting bracket from the templated location to get the microwave to fit into the space. The lights are not very bright the interior light is VERY dim.

I bought all 4 LG THINQ appliances for my kitchen redo in April. So far the refrigerator broke down at night and I had water all over my kitchen floor and lost all the items in the freezerwhich LG would not reimburse me for. Then about a month later I noticed that the fan on my microwave did not change speeds from low to high. A tech came out said it was not working returned with the part installed it and told me it still was not working and that he had to contact LG. Ive been waiting over a month so I called LG spoke to a rep and then requested a supervisor. She told me there would be no reimbursement for my food as it was not the right part that broke only the whole insides. Then she told me that the tech reported to LG that there was nothing wrong with the fandifferent from what he told me I would never buy another LG product and would never recommend them to a friend or enemy

Bought as I needed a more powerful and better coverage. Extend a vent fits this. I cook a lot of asian food and sometimes boil for hours. The microwave is spacious and exhaust is great to eleminate odors due to better coverage. Perfect for my needs.

Great Device Terrible Customer Service

The microwave oven is all we could have asked for well reviewed and full of features. Id give it 5* except for the AWFUL customer service. It was purchased using the LG website with a promised delivery of about a week. Apparently it was in the nearby warehouse on time but it was not delivered for another 16 days. I called both LG and the carrier RXO multiple times spending three hours on the phone with no obvious results. This is a great device but LG had better figure out how to deliver outside of the 50 largest metros or theyll fall out of consideration.

After a tough start with the installer not LG directly but their sub-contractor I am finally able to fully enjoy this microwave/over range hood. It is awesome so far and I have really only begun to take full advantage. There seems to be plenty learn especially with the ThinQ connection to the range and my phone.

Hello I own this microwave bought in May 2024. I like it except there is no light or backlight on the control panel. Its very hard to see. Everyone mentions that its hard to see the panel to select buttons. It seems a little louder than my last LG which was only 2 yrs old. I wish it had a light on the control planel

Good product with a major drawback

We installed the MVEL2125F microwave oven over our LG4113ST gas stove. Whenever we turn on the vent even at low speed the stoves flames dance wildly and the temperature of the cooking vessel and its contents as measured by an infrared thermometer significantly lowers and even water ceases to boil. We have tried to use pots and pans of different sizes even a large paella pan and the result is the same: drastically lowered temperatures flickering flames and unsatisfactory cooking/heating. Nothing that we try by way of positioning etc. works We very much like the unit otherwise but the inability to use the vent while cooking on the stove top is a serious drawback. We have sent in a repair request on 8/5 but as of yet we have not received a reply

I really love the LG microwave. It has all the features that I wanted since there are always must haves when you purchase an appliance. Given that my old one had been broken for a few weeks it was so nice to have a microwave back. It has terrific reheat options the +30 second button and many items on the list in the menu.

This unit took time to get use to. I would say somewhat of a smart Microwave. The feature of scan and cook is very helpful.. I would just scan a proof of purchase bar code of what I am trying to cook and it would automaticly set the microwave to cook as per the instruction on the box. Like example lasagna 9 minutes on high and 20 minutes on half power the system knows and changes it in mid cooking instead of me stopping it and start the cooking again. I would say it was a good buy and like the easy install of it.

I purchased the LG MVEL2125F after doing some research and finding that it was rated as the number one over-the-range microwave by Consumer Reports. It is absolutely stunning to look at. The ExtendaVent is a wonderful addition to the microwave to extend the stovetop capture rate. This microwave also checks in at 2.1 cu.ft. It also has ThinQ app access to allow you to use smart features and send cooking instructions to the oven. Overall it was a great choice and I would buy it again in a heartbeat

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PURCHASE AN LG PRODUCT. This microwave came defective and LG is refusing to honor their warranty and fix it. At the end of the day they stated that the INTERNAL DEFECT is not covered under the warranty which covers INTERNAL PARTS AND LABOR. there is no way to tell how well this product works given it does not work at all.

This is a great big microwave The settings are easy to figure out. The only downside is that every time you use it you have to wash it down because there are fingerprints on it. No way to avoid it. I also am not a fan of the color of display time because its blue which is fine because it matches other appliances in kitchen but the LG a stove I got with this has an amber color display so it looks like they dont match.

I just got this microwave installed and so far so good. Has a very nice sleek look to it and we love the extended vent. You do need to push a little firmly to operate the buttons but nothing too bad. Overall I think this was a good choice

I purchased this over the range microwave and installation and hauling away the old appliance. How naive. Delivery people asked me - where is your electrical outlet? Which outlet? I only got the old hood please remove it haul it away and install my microwave. Where is your outlet? I had to send them back. Multiple calls to the 3rd party delivery company and LG resulted in nothing. I need to install the outlet. Ok then. How do I install it? I need to remove the old hood first. I cant do that. Multiple calls to the 3rd party delivery company and LG resulted in nothing. Actually I stand corrected. I learned that the delivery company as a rule does NOT remove the old hood. I AM SUPPOSED TO - they just haul it away. Here I am 2 months after purchasing that nice LG microwave. I need to hire a handyman and an electrician shell out who knows how much so they remove the old hood and install the electrical outlet and I can start enjoying my wonderful LG product. Im writing this the 2nd time. The review site required a picture or a video. When I gave it a picture it said the picture must be 10MB and wiped out my review.

I like the vent and the heating power. It has all the typical features youd expect for a mid-tier microwave. Installation was relatively easy except for the template for the upper cabinet support screws which didnt line up with the actual screw locations. Once I figured out those were off the rest of the installation went fine.

I chose this microwave because it was the closest one that looked and performed like my old one. I love the sensor cook and the one button start for minutes cooked. The one thing that drives me crazy is the cook end notification. It plays a little tune that to me is not appealing. I guess if you had small children it would but since I dont it is quite annoying. You can turn off the sound but then you get no sound like when its done or time to flip in defrost cycle. I also noticed it does not heat as well as my older model which was an 1100 watt. This one is slightly smaller.
