2nd LG Electric Double Oven with Cooktop

I have had an LG double oven with glass cook-top for 12 years. I absolutely loved it. Replaced control board about 3 years ago then the board went out again. I did research replacing the control board again but could not find the part in-stock anywhere but the price was such with a repair tech the cost of a new Oven was not that much more. I purchased the LG Electric Cook-top Double Oven and it is fantastic I love the knobs are on the front and no worries about the touch pad wearing out like on my last cook-top I have had one little glitch with the right burners not turning on unless you have the left burners on but The Home Depot LG support have been great in troubleshooting and sending out repair techs to get it fixed. Thank you LG Im sure this unit will be even better than my first

I bought this stove 7 months ago. As of now its the worst decision I made. The oven stop work about a month ago. A tech was sent out a week before thanksgiving. He said the motherboard had gone out. He will have to order it. It want be back in stock til November 28th There goes me and my familys Thanksgiving. Its have a code on the screen F3 you cant operate the oven So no I dont recommend if you like baking. It might be just my bad luck

Having a double oven is great But the dials on the front Of the stove are a safety issue. Every time I have to lean over the stove to work the oven or get into my overhead cabinet I brush against the dials and they turn the cooktop on They have no lock to keep them from turning.. if I had an issue with my hearing I could walk away leaving the cooktop on because I would not hear it. Instead of having dials on the front of the stove they should have been put on the rear along with the oven buttons. As an older woman getting on my hands and knees to access the lower oven is also an issue but thankfully I dont have to use it very often. And no matter the brand or the stove I Hate a Smooth-top They are impossible to keep clean

We purchased this range a little over a month ago. I love having to different ovens and Im learning to use the convection oven feature. From other reviews I was concerned about the knobs being accessible to my toddler grandchild. Im glad to say there is a lock feature and it has already been tested My only negative is the same as a few other reviews I read. The crack area at the front that crumbs can easily fall into and are difficult to get out. This is why I gave four out of five stars. I would recommend it and would buy it again.

Weve only has this about 2 years and because of the terribly touchy burner knobs weve had things catch fire twice one being a cutting board that was destroyed. Now the burners arent controllable and started acting weird like they dont know what temp they are set at. We have notified LG three times and the last time someone from corporate called me and said they would do something then ghosted us with no follow up. LG is a hoke when it comes to backing their products.

I want a do-over. I would never order this range again. Within one month the front left burner looks worn out and will no longer polish. Now the range entirely shorts out and shuts off due to faulty electronics - but its no longer under warranty. This range is a total lemon. I need a new one already and to cut my losses. Customer service and support is also awful when I tried to call and was on the phone more than an hour two times searching for solutions with supervisors offering me a 15 discount on a new LG ranger. Laughable. I will never buy or recommend another LG product in my lifetime.

We bought the oven on 9-4-2023 at Home Depot and was delivered on 9-14-2023. We did the clean cycle a few days later and realized the stove got so hot that it burnt the sides of our cabinets. Two technicians checked it out. The second tech said the seal was defected and not working correctly. He said it was causing heat to escape through the door. He recommended a stove replacement because it is a manufacturer defect. Nobody wants to accommodate us. Home Depot and LG will not help us. They said it is our problem and will not replace it. We have talked to so many people we are not getting anywhere. We are in the process of obtaining legal service because we are getting the run around from both Home Depot and LG. We are paying on the stove but cant use it. This is wrong and poor relationship from both parties.

I bought this oven a few months ago and its the best decision I ever made Being a Caregiver and having to cook healthy meals for my parents can be a challenge. But with this double oven it makes it a breeze For the first time in able to cook Salmon for the main course and Asparagus at the same time So they both can be served hot. Before I had to cook one then cook the other whole the first got cold. We bought this to replace a similar LG gas stove so we could reduce CO2 emissions in the house. We did accomplish that goal. However I am a bit disappointed with the overall stove top heating. While reviews Id read prior to the purchase suggested very good heating times weve not realized that. I even purchased new pots and pans for better contact with the surface. Simply cooking an egg in a small pan takes 5-10 minutes and boiling a pot of water takes a crazy amount of time. Im not sure why the elements click on and off repeatedly even when turned up to high but you can see it negatively affecting the time it takes to say boil water. The oven is greatheats quickly and cooks well but we use it less frequently than the top.

Faulty knobs 3 different people 3 completely different days and same thing happen burner was on No music sound. Empty pot burned smoked up the house and I think cracked from the inside. We bought this a couple of months ago from Home Depot and have had nothing but issues with the range. It constantly clicks loudly when in use roughly every 10 seconds. I realize some clicking is normal for electric stovetops but this is enough to drive anyone crazy. In addition the stovetop doesnt heat consistently or evenly making it impossible to cook on. As someone that is an experienced cook this has completely taken the joy out of cooking and replaced it with frustration. We have called both Home Depot and LG multiple times only to be redirected to the other for assistance with no accountability. We have called LG and our concerns have been dismissed or weve been asked to pay for a technician to come reset the appliance. The appliance is brand new and customers should not have to pay for a technician to come. The extended warranty LG offers clearly is not honored. I have asked to exchange it for the same oven with a gas range rather than go through the headache of this constant troubleshooting with the electric model and LG refuses. We invested in all new appliances from LG in our new home and expected better customer service.

Stove top is beautiful and works well easy to clean. Oven does not heat to set temperature as it indicates with a beep. Then oven heats up to 40 degrees over set temp before element stops heating. Once temp hits about 25 degrees under set temp element comes back on. This is ok for roasting but cars will not rise properly and may be raw in the center and burn on outside. I am very unhappy. Service man came and said all the newer ovens work that way. No more baking.

We absolutely love our new LG convection oven Obviously it looks amazing in our new kitchen remodel but it also has really improved the health of our home. We have family members with asthma. In our old oven we would need to cook an item for an hour and the direct heat would burn edges cause smoke that you didnt always see but could feel. Ive had this range for several years and already reviewed about how easily the knobs on the front turn the burners on. I have done it several times reaching to the back burner and then turning around to go to my sink....resulting in an off burner turning on without knowing it. Ive had 2 small fires and my adult son had it happen to him while cooking in our house realizing what Ive been saying about it.

We have had our LG oven for about a month. The double oven is a very nice feature. The buttons are easy to use and it is a great looking appliance. A great buy for the money.

Oven heats quick rear of unit needs space

Top burner failed after three uses however service was quick and found a pinched wire that caused the main PCB to burn out all fixed in one visit. only complaint is that rear of Oven required a rear wall gap to vent by virtue of a bracket which in turn pushed unit out in front of our kitchen cabinets which was unexpected 2.5 inches. Using the top oven to cook and bottom for storage of various oven trays top heats fast maybe 5 minutes to full 400+. Nice finish in oven makes for super easy to clean up with wet paper towel alone.

Why have they not fixed burner knobs?

We shouldve listened to others about how easy it is to accidentally turn burner on by just bumping the knobs. Weve had the oven 2 weeks and have accidentally turned on burner by reaching over oven to cabinet above. How is this still an issue and not fixed so this cant happen. My wife was putting groceries away she bumped the knob without knowing and burner came on burning her clothes. Way to go LG by not fixing the issue with maybe knobs with a safety feature.

Range was delivered damaged. Service set date to replace door. Then called said replacement arrived damaged. This happened a second time said they would reorder. Havent heard back.

We have had or stove for about 3 years now and it is still working wonderfully. Oven is fantastic and the convention oven is great could not have gotten a better oven.

Dont buy. You boil over water once and youll never get the top clean. Weve tried several stove top cleaners with no luck. Now the black paint is chipping on the left and right sides of the glass? 14 months old and LG wont help. Cooks pizza very unevenly also.

New appliance with no model or serial number

I received a appliance with no model or serial number and was told my new appliance was refubished or a floor model because factory did not install a model and serial number tag on it. So I cant wven get a waranty service call owned unit for 6 months bought new trom Home depot. 3 weeks and my range is still not fixed. Dear factory please install a tag on each of your units so noone has thisnproblem like we do.
